About Rachel

Rachel Fogarty is a filmmaker, writer, and multimedia artist originally from Chicago, Illinois.

In 2024, Rachel produced two award-winning short documentaries in Tangier, Morocco, which were recognized at various international and local festivals. Additionally, she worked as a crew member for the 50th Pacific Southwest Regional Emmy Awards and served as a camera operator and technical director for multiple KPBS concert broadcasts.

Currently, Rachel is directing an independent short thriller titled The Gift He Gave Me. She recently completed work as the production designer for two SDSU thesis films, Under Seventh Heaven and A Lavender Heartbeat, in addition to designing the production of The Gift He Gave Me.

Over the past year, Rachel has designed two 48- to 54-page art magazines for Creative Collective Magazine. As the executive designer, she honed her skills in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign. She continues to apply her graphic design expertise by creating flyers and promotional content for the nonprofit Delta Beta Tau, where she serves as Vice President of Public Relations.

Rachel currently works for Gerardy Photohgraphy as well as The Young Innovators Collective where she teaches youth film and theater classes. Rachel is open to collaborations within the San Diego–Los Angeles area.
